This year’s recipient of the Tommy Raffen Memorial scholarship is Kayleigh Worek. She will begin her senior year in the fall, pursuing a degree in communication disorders. Kayleigh is a self-aware student with a big heart; she plans to run for an officer position in the organization, “Service to Mankind.” Through this organization, she has volunteered for Texas Nursing Rehab, San Marcos Alzheimer’s Care and the Walk to End Alzheimer’s. Her demonstrated track record of service, leadership, work ethic, sincerity, energy, and humility make her a perfect person to represent Tommy’s legacy on campus. There is one significant difference from Tommy, she has a 4.0 GPA!
